How do I install OmmBits?

MacOS: The OmmBits download in our store comes inside a Zipped Archive file, simply open the file to unzip it and then drag the OmmBits application to your Applications folder, which you can usually find in the sidebar of Finder.

Windows: OmmBits comes packaged in a automated installer. Just launch the installer and after a successful installation you should find a OmmBits icon on your desktop.

Where are my notes stored?

MacOS: In MacOS your notes are stored in this location: ~/Library/Application Support/OmmBits/settings.db. You can go to the folder simply by pressing ⌘ + ⇧ + G in Finder and then paste the location in the input. The file is encoded in JSON and is not meant to be modified in any editor other than OmmBits. Shortly in a upcoming update we will release a export option in the menu for you to export every note individually or bundled.

Windows: In Windows your notes are stored in this location: %appData%\OmmBits\settings.db.
